Summary:
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time ( 40 hours per week)

The incumbent, under the supervision of the Telephone Supervisor, operates the Embassy switchboard to place, receive, and direct local and long distance telephone calls. The switchboard operator is responsible for maintaining and updating both the IPC radio call sign list and the embassy telephone directory. The switchboard operator receives bills from the local PTT and cell phone companies, and uses them to update cost spreadsheets for the Information Management Officer (IMO) and also prepares electronic bills personal cell phone use. He/she will add contacts to new cellphones and assist with setup as requested by supervisor. Incumbent will perform other administrative tasks as assigned. Answer internal and external telephone calls and connects the caller to the appropriate party and breaks down the residence and cell phone bills by agency and prepares individual BOC (Bill Memo) in addition the switchboard Operator input the monthly bills from Mauritel and Mattel companies, calculates the monthly call bills for the embassy extensions as well as the monthly bills for the embassy open cell phones. The incumbent will be a backup to mailroom personnel in receiving and processing incoming/outgoing mail. This includes lifting packages up to 70 Ibs.
