Under the responsibility of the IT Project Manager, the Network Administrator administers the resources necessary for the expected production of the Kinross-Tasiast computer network in compliance with the rules and standards of the company. The incumbentt provides level 2 assistance, with the aim of quality, productivity and security, in order to guarantee continuity of service to users.

Provide availability of computer networks
Ensure the security of data traffic
Develop and apply configuration change procedures
Ensure the compliance of installations and the commissioning of new IT infrastructures according to standards
Develop and improve the security of the IT infrastructure
Participate in the design and analysis of IT infrastructures, development and commissioning of new networks
Minimize network downtime as much as possible
Update Kinross-Tasiast IT network documents
Analyze and design network architectures for improvement and expansion of the various infrastructures
Support for incidents on network infrastructures
Produce monthly infrastructure performance and usage reports
Études et expérience
BAC + 5 training (Engineering School or University),
Cisco CCNP Enterprise Certificate Holder
5 years of experience managing the IT networks of a large company
Strong knowledge of layer 2 and 3 network protocols: STP, OSPF, HSRP, IP SLA, Radius, and DNS
Good knowledge of Cisco Wireless and Datacenter technologies
Mastery of the configuration of Cisco equipment and other brands (routers, switches, firewalls, IPS, WAAS, steelhead and packetshaper)
Knowledge of network monitoring
Network problem solving ability
Organized, dynamic, creative and with a good capacity for assimilation and rigor
Fluency in English and French
