Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineer specialized in Fire Suppression Systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either mechanical or electrical engineering and proven experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire suppression systems, especially in industrial and mining environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fire suppression systems in compliance with international and local codes.
- Prepare technical documentation, layout drawings, and system schematics.
- Perform site surveys and risk assessments to identify fire hazards and propose appropriate protection systems.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of fire suppression equipment.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.
- Conduct system performance evaluations and prepare detailed reports.
- Train technicians and client staff on system operation and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with fire suppression systems (e.g., FM-200, CO₂, water mist, foam, dry chemical).
- Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to client sites when required.
